CHILDREN’S PARTY AT HAWTHORNDALE

PRESENTS DISTRIBUTED BY SANTA CLAUS The Hawthorndale Women’s Institute held a successful Christmas party for the children in the Hawthorndale hall on Saturday afternoon. After games were played the small guests were served soft drinks and cakes, and the grown-ups enjoyed afternoon tea. The highlight of the afternoon was the coming of Santa Claus, when he spoke to the children and presented each with a gift from the Christmas tree.
