MAGISTRATE’S COURT
MONDAY (Before Mr R. C. Abernethy, S.M.) For disobedience of a maintenance order, George Holland was sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment, to be released on the payment of £4/10/-. Richard John Purcell proceeded against Vera Keen in a complaint for variation of a maintenance order. Arrears of maintenance due to September 21, 1939, amounting to £l5/10/- were cancelled and the maintenance order, was varied to 7/6 a week, instead of 10/- a week as from December 18, 1939, the first payment to be made by December 25. John H. Bocock proceeded against Agnes Cadden Bocock in a complaint for variation of a maintenance order. An order was made cancelling arrears of maintenance to December 4, 1939, under maintenance orders for wife and child, and reducing the order in favour of the wife to £1 a week and in favour of the child to 12/6 a week as from December 4, 1939.
