Entries for the Southland championship and handicap tennis tournament to be held on December 25, 26 and 27 have been so few that officials of the Southland Lawn Tennis Association have mentioned the possibility of abandoning the tournament. It has been decided to extend the closing date, and entries will now be accepted until 5 p.m. today. The draw is to be made at a meeting of the management committee this evening.
