RECREATION WEEK
EVENTS IN DEE STREET
Tonight’s programme in Dee street, arranged as part of recreation week activities, will include two children’s events—a tyre bowling race (under 12) the children to provide their own tyres, and a roller-skating race (under 15). An event to test the physical fitness of the average street walker will be a citizen’s walking race. Good trophies are offered for all these races. A specially valuable trophy is offered for the instrumental item. Any selection may be played on any instrument — mouth-organ, flute, saxophone, pianoaccordion or anything else. Mr Kennedy Black is to be the judge of this contest. The contests will be held in front of Dickey’s shop.
