Surprise Packet
Mr E. E. Cressey, of Mangere, whose trotter Mute recently won two races in the South Island, has got hold of a likely sort of novice in Surprise Packet, by Surprise Journey from Betty Moko, both classy performers on the racetrack. Surprise Packet has more speed than most of the novice trotters in Auckland but is somewhat excitable. She has only to settle down quickly to enter the winning list, and it is worth remembering (says an . Auckland writer) that her trainer, the veteran T. Roe, is a past-master with trotters.
