BUILDING CONTROLLER APPOINTED
MR A. TYNDALL’S NEW POST (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 13. Under the Building Emergency Regulations gazetted today, Mr A. Tyndall has been appointed Building Controller. His post as Oil Fuel Controller has been taken by Mr G. L. Laurenson, Commissioner of Transport. The function of the Building Controller will be primarily to organize and promote the undertaking of constructional works according to their importance. In the public interest he has power to. stop work in progress and to regulate, restrict and control the use, sale, supply, distribution and disposal of building materials.
