Summons Served By Post
An effort to stay the process of the law proved expensive for one defendant in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. “The defendant refused to accept service of the summons,” said the Magis- • trate (Mr R. C. Abernethy), “and it had to be served by registered post. He was very foolish because it cost him £l/5/-.”
