RUGBY UNION NOT LIABLE
PAYMENT OF SOCIAL SECURITY CHARGE (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 9. Mr S. S. Dean stated at a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union that there was no liability on the part of unions to pay the social security charge of 1/- in the fil. It was one of those branches of sport excluded from the amendment to the Land and Income Tax Act, and this applied also to social security taxation.
