New Names Created For Burgundy Shadings
Highlights of the fashion news of the moment are the new colours, new shoes and new accessories, which are as different from last year’s as it is possible to make them. Varieties of shadings make the burgundy and rust colours of supreme importance, with teal blues next in favour. The tonings of these shades must be studied carefully for your accessories. Shoes are in shapes never before imagined, with platform soles and cotton-reel heels, and in colours and fabrics new as tomorrow.
Smart shoes naturally attract attention feetwards, and to supplement this smartness your stockings must be perfection in shade and texture. Two and three thread sheers still maintain their popularity and enhance the shapeliest of legs. For all burgundy shadings new colours have been created, and such fascinating names as Bacchus, Gorgeous Hussy, Mischief and Fireglow are printed on the boxes of those gossamertextured stockings, which will be worn on even the coldest days by the smart women. The iridescent shades are also very good to wear with all burgundy colours; Fireglow and Twilight are two good examples of the new names in these shades.
With rust shadings and the teal blues, a slightly different colour should be chosen, Vivacity, Gay Nineties, Blush oi’ Hawaiian Tan all being ideal. For those women who like something different to wear for evening with black or navy a fine sheer stocking called Ink is ideal. But a word of warning—your legs should be shapely and unblemished, as these stockings show up all your faults. For the woman who can wear them, however, they are the epitome of smartness.
