COMPANY MANAGER’S THEFTS
CONFESSION MADE TO DIRECTOR (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 8. Pleading guilty to the theft between December 1937 and May 1939, of amounts totalling £342 odd, Walter Kenneth Reeve, manager and secretary of the British and Foreign Trading Company, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was fixed at £l5O. Charles D. Low, managing director, said that when he asked Reeve about a certain cheque he said: “I have a confession to make, I have been wanting to make it for some time.” He said he
had been manipulating the company’s funds and wished to help clear the matter up. He had been employed by witness for 10 years
