STATE OF BLUFF ROAD
To The Editor Sir,—On a visit to Bluff yesterday I met three heavy lorries laden with sheep. Can you tell me whether this heavy traffic is still permitted on the ; Bluff road?—Yours, etc., INVERCARGILL RESIDENT. June 6, 1939. [Although it was announced that the 'road would be closed to heavy traffic from June 1, a special application was made for permission for sheep lorries to travel over the road until the close of the freezing season. Permission was granted and sheep lorries will be allowed to use the road until the Ocean Beach works close.]
