MAIDEN PASSENGER FLIGHT

THE AOTEAROA PILOTED BY NEW ZEALANDER (Independent Cable Service) LONDON, June 1. The Tasman flying-boat Aotearoa took off on her maiden passenger flight from Southampton yesterday afternoon, when she took 15 journalists and other representatives of Australia and New Zealand on a tour of the south coast.

The Aotearoa was piloted by the New Zealander, Captain John Burgess. Imperial Airways says that the Aotearoa will go to New Zealand at the end of the month.
