GORE Mrs S. B. Taylor, Ardwick street, and her children, who have been spending a holiday at Dunedin, have returned home. , » ~ Mesdames A. Campbell and A. Gormack, of Invercargill, were the guests of Mrs C. McLeod, Elizabeth street, during the week. Miss Nancy Preece, of Ashburton, has returned north after spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs S. Preece, William street. Mrs F. S. Graham, Albany street, is spending a holiday at Palmerston North, where she is the guest of her daughter, Mrs McArthur. Mrs T. L. Macdonald, Devon street, and her daughter, Greta, have returned from a holiday spent at Sumner. Mr and Mrs D. M. McLeod, Irving street, have returned from a visit to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs T. Fyfe, Wolsley street, have returned from a holiday spent at Dunedin. Mrs B. Turnbull, of Waimate, who has been the guest of Mrs Turnbull, Joseph street, has returned north. Mrs J. Norrie, of Lawrence, has returned home after spending a holiday as the guest of Mrs Robert Fisher, Devon street. Mrs F. Parsons, William street, has returned from a holiday spent at Dunedin. Mrs D. Powell, of Invercargill, is the guest of Mrs R. Fisher, Devon street. Miss J. Wallis, of Dunedin, is the guest of her parents, Mr and Mrs F. Wallis, jun., Albany street. Mrs Ashley Phear, of Christchurch, is I the guest of her parents, Mr and Mrs F. Wallis, sen,, Crewe street. Mr and Mrs F. W. Oakden, Albany street, have returned from a motor trip to Picton and Nelson. Miss Helen Hargest, of Rakauhauka, who has been the guest of her aunt, Mrs E. T. Eastwood, Railway Esplanade, has returned to her home. Miss Fay McHutcheson, Thomas street, returned to Gore on Saturday from a holiday spent at Dunedin. Mrs A. Stewart, “Dunkeld,” Balfour, left last week on at extended holiday to be spent at Timaru, Oamaru and Dunedin.

Mrs F. Wallis, sen., Crewe street, was hostess at afternoon tea last week, when her guests included Mesdames J. Norrie (Lawrence), R. Fisher, W. Kirk, W. Baker, D. L. Poppelwell and Syme (Hawera).
