MANUFACTURE OF AIRCRAFT
START OF WORK ON NEW FACTORY
COMPLETION WITHIN TEN WEEKS (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 24. Work on the erection of a factory at Rongotai for the De Havilland Aircraft Company was started today by the contractor, Mr M. G. Templeton. The contract has to be completed within 10 weeks, but it is not expected that there will be any difficulty in finishing the work in the time. 1 There were only four or five men employed on the work today. Immediately, however, the number will be increased till there are 40 or 50 men working on the factory. The factory will be 200 by 100 feet, which is larger than the main hangar at Rongotai.
