TRUCKS JUMP RAILS AND CAUSE DELAY

• (United Press Association) ASHBURTON, May 12. For the second time in three days trucks of a midnight south-bound goods train jumped the tracks in the early hours this morning, several trucks being badly damaged and the tracks torn up for 100 yards just north of Fairton station, three miles north of Ashburton. .Fortunately the trucks were derailed inside the loop, over which the south express was able to travel with a delay of 45 minutes in reaching here at 11 o’clock.' Local trains were also delayed.
