POLICE PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS
MR S. RAWLE TO SUCCEED

WELLINGTON. May 12. Changes in the police force following the retirement of the Superintendent of Police at Christchurch (Mr A. Cameron) are announced by the Commissioner of Police (Mr D. J. Cummings). The superintendent of police at Dunedin (Mr S. Rawle) succeeds Mr Cameron at Christchurch. The Inspector of Police at Whangarei (Mr O’Hara) goes to Dunedin as superintendent, Sub-inspector Fox (Auckland) to Whangarei as inspector, Senior Sergeant Pender (Napier) to Auckland as sub-inspector, and Senior Sergeant Felton to Napier.
Sergeant Bonisch (Pahiatua) is promoted to the position of senior sergeant at Christchurch. Sergeant Whiting goes from Wanganui to Pahiatua, and Sergeant Cosgrove from Wellington to Wanganui.
