ULTIMATUM SENT TO SLOVAKS
HUNGARY EXPECTS REPLY TO NOTE BUDAPEST, March 30. One hundred wounded and 162 sick have arrived, being the first casualties in the fighting against the Slovaks. It is officially stated that the Hun-garian-Slovakian negotiations have reached a deadlock, the Hungarians rejecting the Slovak counter claims, states a message from Bratislava. It is reported, without confirmation, that failing early agreement, Germany will invite delegations to Berlin for arbitration.
Hungary has sent an ultimatum to Slovakia that she is expecting a reply to her Note by noon on March 31.
