BIG YARDING AT OTAUTAU FIRM MARKET YESTERDAY The biggest yarding of sheep at Otautau this season was penned for the stock sale yesterday. There was a fair attendance of farmers, who bid keenly up to late values. The market opened firmly and continued so right throughout the sale. There was a keen demand for young ewes and ewe lambs. /The best'Romney, two-tooth ewes made up : to 35/10, good from 32/- to 33/-, medium from 29/- to 31/- and small up to 27/-. The best soundmouth ewes sold up to 27/3, good from 20/- to 22/-, fair from 17/- to 18/6, failing from 12/- to 14/-, broken mouth from 8/- to 10/- and poorer sorts up to 2/6 ' , . The best Romney ewe lambs realized 24/3, good from 21/6 to 22/6, medium from 18/- to 19/- and smaller up to 16/-. Forward conditioned rape lambs brought from 14/6 to 16/-, with outstanding pens to 17/3, medium wether lambs from 11/- to 12/6 and smaller from 6/- to 8/-. Two and four-tooth wethers made from 17/6 to 20/-.
