RACING BROADCASTS

To The Editor Sir, —Many people evidently misunderstood the newspaper reference to Mr R. McKenzie’s broadcasting at the Wyndham trots. There was much turning of the knobs on Saturday in fruitless attempts to tune in to “Whang’s” broadcast, which was confined to the course. Much disappointment has been expressed. Now that Southland has its own national station it is not unreasonable to expect that it should give to this province the same service that the other provinces get from their stations. Arrangements to broadcast the Riverton Easter meeting would be a highly popular move on the part of 4YZ. —Yours, etc., COLLEGE BOY. March 20, 1939. [This letter was referred to Mr J. F. Skedden, manager of Station 4YZ, who said he could not make any comment as it was a policy matter.]
