Fair to Fine and Warm (Special to The Times) WELLINGTON, March 15. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland by the meteorological office, Wellington:— Light to moderate and variable winds, with east to north predominating. Some morning fogs probable, and possibly scattered light rain m western areas, but weather otherwise fair to fine and warm. Sea slight. Following is the Dominion forecast:— Weather fair to fine in most districts and mild and warm. A little light rain is possible, however, in the far north and south-west coastal areas. Some morning fogs. General Situation.—Pressure is again high over all the New Zealand area. In south-eastern Australia it is falling. Conditions are disturbed also in the tropics. . Winds.—Strong easterlies m the tar north, otherwise light to moderate and variable, with south-east to north-east predominating. Seas.—New Zealand waters, rather rough to rough north of Bay of Plenty, otherwise slight to moderate; Eastern Tasman Sea, light to moderate variable winds, south-east to north-east predominating, seas slight to moderate. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was warm and fine. , At one o’clock this morning the weather was calm and mild. The barometer readings for the past three mornnigs have been as follows:— This morning (steady) 30.10 in. Wednesday 30.10 m. Tuesday 29.60 in.
