AMAZING ESCAPE OF WORKER
GRASPS ROPE IN BACKWARD FALL (United Press Association) WHAKATANE, February 11. A Taneatua public works employee named Dunn had an astounding escape yesterday. He was working on a shelf high above a quarry floor face when he suddenly slipped backwards and fell 10ft before he managed to grasp a rope, which saved him from a fall to the rocks 60ft below.-
