SENIOR TREASURY APPOINTMENTS
MR G. G. ROSE AS ASSISTANT SECRETARY (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 6. Senior appointments in the Treasury Department following the promotion of the Assistant Secretary and Accountant, Mr B. C. Ashwin, to the position of Secretary to the Treasury were announced today. The Second Assistant Secretary and Solicitor to the Treasury, Mr G. G. Rose, has been appointed Assistant Secretary and Treasury Solicitor. The Chief Investigating Officer, Mr E. L. Greensmith, has been appointed Second Assistant Secretary and the Assistant Accountant, Dr A. R. F. Mackay, has been appointed Accountant. Mr R. M. Sunley, at present attached to the High Commissioners’ Office as finance officer, will (return to New Zealand to take the position of Assistant Accountant on completion in the near future of his term of service in London. Mr C. J. R. Atkin, investigating officer, has been appointed Chief Investigating Officer.
