CROQUET
A. G. F. ROSS WINS OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP (United Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, Feb. 1. By winning the second game by 26 points to 8 in the final A. G. F. Ross (Christchurch) became open champion at the Dominion croquet tournament, the other finalist being J. Tannock (Dunedin). The first game resulted 26-25, being one of the closest in the tournament. In the final of the women’s championship Mrs McLeod (Gore) beat Mrs C. Watkins (Hastings) 26-21 in the first game, but lost the second 24-26.
