POLICE OFFICER TO RETIRE
SUPERINTENDENT FRASER OF AUCKLAND . (United Press Association) - AUCKLAND, February 1. The Superintendent of Police at Auckland, Mr C. Fraser, is to retire on superannuation on February 17, when he begins the customary period of three months’ leave.
Superintendent Fraser succeeded Superintendent Till on August 24, 1938, having been in charge of the Wellington police district for two years. The name of his successor has not yet been announced. A son of Mr Charles Fraser, at one time editor of The Otago Witness, Mr Fraser was born in Dunedin, where he joined the Police Force in 1897.
