WOOL CATALOGUE CLOSES EARLY

SECOND AUCKLAND SALE IN JANUARY (Special to The Times) AUCKLAND, December 15. Although the second Auckland wool sale will not be held until January 24, the catalogue, of 24,000 bales, closed today. With the exception of last year, when there was an unusual rush of wool to city stores, the closing date is the earliest for a number of years. Wool is still coming into the city steadily from all parts of the province, but the present supplies will be held until the third Auckland auction on March 27, when the offering has again been fixed at 24,000 bales.
