UNANIMOUS SUPPORT PROMISED

PROPOSED CAMPAIGN FOR , PHYSICAL FITNESS (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 15. Unanimous support for the proposed physical fitness campaign to be launched in 1939 by the National Council of Physical fitness was expressed today at a meeting in Wellington of representatives of Dominion sports bodies and other interested organizations. The meeting, which was convened by Mr J. W. Keenan, under-secretary of the Department of Internal Affairs, who is vice-chairman .of the council, approved of the principle of national fitness week, agreed that the dates suggested by Mr Keenan—February 18 to 25 next year—were the most suitable, and assured the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E. Parry) of wholehearted co-operation from the bodies they represented.
