MANAGING DIRECTOR OF VICKERS-ARMSTRONG (Received December 15, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, December 14. Sir Charles Craven, managing director of Vickers-Armstrong, speaking at the annual meeting of the Midland area of the National Union of Manufacturers, said he did not share the views of those who had doubts about the efficiency of the present methods of rearmament. “Personally I think the progress made during the last two years ■ has been remarkable,” said Sir Charles, “and I believe that if the same goodwill is shown that has been shown in the past two years the industry will achieve an output that will satisfy all the Government departments.”
