Procession of Floats
A road safety week will be held throughout New Zealand next month, beginning on December 4, and processions of six Transport Department decorated floats will leave Christchurch on December 5. All the centres on the main route between Christchurch and Invercargill will be visited. The procession will arrive -in Invercargill on December 7, at 11 a.m. and will leave at 12.45 p.m. the same day. A similar procession will travel from Wellington to Auckland early in the month. This information was contained in a letter received, at a meeting of the South Invercargill Borough Council last night from tire Commissioner of Transport (Mr G. L. Laurenson).
