QUEENSTOWN
ANGLICAN FAIR A successful fair in aid of St. Peter s Anglican Church was held in the Garrison Hall. Much credit is aue to Mrs W. A. Anderson, who, as organizer, had everything in good running order. Stall-holders were: Cakes and produce, Misses D. Harris, D. Sew Hoy and M McDowall; apron stall, Mesdames Martin-Smith and Monson; flowers, Miss D. Marshall; jumble, Mrs A. Griffen; fancy goods, Mrs G. D. Morris and Miss B. Farrant; mystery parcels, Mrs H. Buchanan; sweets, Mrs Roycroft, Misses N. Robins and F. Tallentire; afternoon tea, Mesdames Clayton, Robins, Tailentire and Miss Warren assisted by church members. The winners of the various competitions were: Dressed baby doll, Miss J. C. Thompson; supper cloth, Mrs H. Ross; doll’s cradle, Mrs Hansen (Arrowtown). Other competitions were held, the winners being: Miss E. Curtis (sheep); Mrs L. Lee (dinner); Mrs Buckham (cushion); Miss N. Robins (cigarettes); Mrs M. A. Davidson (tray cloth).
