GERMAN AIR LINER CRASHES
ELEVEN OF 15 OCCUPANTS BURNED TO DEATH (Received November 27, 6.30 p.m.) BATHURST (Gambia), November 27. A Lufthansa 40-seater Junkers passenger aeroplane with 15 persons aboard, making a trial flight from Germany to Dakar (Senegal), collided with a palm tree after taking off and crashed. Eleven persons were burned to death, three were seriously and two slightly injured. The dead include the leading pilots. The crew numbered five, and the passengers were engineers from the Junkers works and members of the Air Ministry.
