THE WEATHER FAIR AND WARM AT FIRST
(Special to The Times) WELLINGTON, November 27. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate north-easterly winds, gradually tending more northerly and freshening. Weather fair and warm, later becoming unsettled from the west Seas moderate, but rising later. Following is the Dominion' forecast: — Weather mainly fair to cloudy and warm. Some scattered drizzle possible in the north. Conditions becoming unsettled later in western and far southern parts of the South
Island. General Situation.—An intense and extensive anti-cyclone extends from the east of the South Island across the Tasman Sea, but pressure is now falling rapidly in south-eastern Australia. Winds.—Between east and north, moderate to strong generally freshening later about and south of Cook Strait. Seas.—New Zealand waters, moder-
ate to rather rough on the East Coast moderate on the West Coast, but rising later south of Farewell Spit. Eastern Tasman Sea, moderate to strong easterly to northerly winds with rather rough to rough seas.
