FOURTH TRIAL WON BY LYNETTE
■ ■ ■■ CONTESTS AT DUNEDIN (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, November 27. Lynette won the fourth Sanders Cup trial on Saturday, leading practically throughout. Evelyn was second and Eileen, which has won two trial races, was third. FIRST SELECTION TRIAL AT LYTTELTON (United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, November 26. The first trial for the selection of Canterbury’s representative in the Sanders Cup contest was held at Lyttelton this afternoon. The race resulted: Manihi 1, Ariki 2. When leading, Huia retired because of a split in her mainsail. Manihi was given 15 1-3 points, Ariki 12 1-3, Elfin 9 1-3 and Huia 4.
