TODAY’S RECIPE
DROP SCONES 2 cups (8 ounces) flour. 1 cup milk. 2 tablespoons (8 ounces) fat, 4 teaspoons baking powder. 1 teaspoon salt. 2 ounces sugar. Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in fat. Add liquid. Mix using a tossing motion. Drop from spoon on to greased girdle or into muffin rings. Turn when half cooked. Fruit or nuts may be added to the mixture, or make a depression on the top of each scone and add one teaspoon nuts, dates or marmalade. „ , „ . „ «• SARAH.
