BRITISH WEST INDIES DISASTER DEATH-ROLL OF HUNDREDS FEARED (Received November 23, 9.10 p.m.) NEW YORK, November 23. A report from St. Lucia (British West Indies) states that a series of avalanches which caused whole mountains to split up and poured a blanket of wet day 20ft deep over large areas probably killed hundreds of persons. Already 75 bodies have been recovered. Continuous landslides, moving with great rapidity, poured down over whole villages before the population could escape.
