NEW NURSES’ HOME AT MENTAL HOSPITAL

PROVISION FOR COMFORT OF OCCUPANTS (Special to The Times) AUCKLAND, November 23. Tenders are being called by the Public Works Department for the construe-, tion of a new' nurses’ home at the Kingseat Mental Hospital. The department, which designed the building, has directed particular attention towards the appointments and other provision that will make for the comfort and well-being of the occupants, whose work is necessarily arduous. The building is to be two storied and of concrete construction, with brick facings on the ground floor of the central block. Big lounges for the nurses will open to a paved terrace. Immediately above these will be a big sun room, as well as other provision for healthy relaxation. There will be bedrooms for about 100 nurses. Included in the appointments is a sick bay and a big convalescent room.
