El Senorita beat Micawber over the same distance in Imin IGJsec. Merrysmile was going well over four furlongs in 49sec. L’Aiglon and Hautboy ran an excellent seven furlongs in Imin 30sec. Young Crusader ran nine furlongs nicely in Imin 59Jsec while Silenus took 2.0. Sir Regent and Bachelor King worked six furlongs in Imin 19|sec and Adios beat Spear Chief over seven in Imin 32sec.

St. Constant was going well over seven furlongs in Imin 32£sec. Gay Romance ran the best five in Imin 3|sec. Plectrum ran seven furlongs on the sand in Imin 35sec, the last three in 38£sec. At Caulfield on the sand Royal Chief finished extra well at the end of seven furlongs in Imin 31sec, the last two in 25sec. The Trump was going nicely over five furlongs. Ortelle’s Star was trotted and cantered and moved freely. On the steeplechase grass Ajax was not extended to run seven furlongs in Imin 31sec.

Son of Aurous ran a mile in Imin 42Jsec, the last seven in Imin 28sec. He finished well. .

Pamelus and Othello, separately, were both going well over six furlongs ran in Imin 16sec.

Early Bird and Cassio finished together over seven furlongs in Imin 29sec.
