REPEATED DEMAND FOR SELF-DETERMINATION

(Received October 24, 7.30 p.m.) BUDAPEST, October 24. The Hungarian Cabinet has replied to Prague. admitting that the Czech proposals are improved, but asserting that they are unacceptable because there is no mention of self-determina-tion for the Slovaks and Ruthenians.

Although the Hungarian ethnological claims are partially conceded, it is complained that the Czech proposals mean retention of the cities and large Hungarian populations in Czechoslovakia.
