GENERAL NOTES The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the departure of the Remuera from Auckland has been postponed until noon' on Tuesday, November 1. The Auckland Rock lighted buoy in Napier roadstead will soon be removed to a temporary position during dredging operations, states the Marine Department in a notice to mariners. The new position, which will be temporary, Is:—Latitude 39 degrees 28 minutes 15 seconds south, longitude, 176 degrees 55 minutes 9 seconds east. Masters must pass westward of the buoy before 'coming on to the line of the wharf-leading beacons. In a notice to mariners, the Marine Department advises that the time of extinguishing the light on the Hawera watertower has been altered from 0.30 a.m. to sunrise. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the A. and A. Line steamer City of Manchester has been fixed to leave New York on December 15 for Auckland.
