POLICEMEN KILLED BY BRIGANDS
ENCOUNTER IN SOUTH PALESTINE JERUSALEM, September 11. An encounter with brigands in south Palestine resulted in six policemen being killed and one wounded, and one is missing. Several of the brigands were wounded. Excitement near the Mosque of Omar necessitated the closing of Damascus Gate. The military authorities control the situation. ARAB KING INSISTS ON RACIAL DOMINENCE PARIS, September 10. Emir Ibn Saud, King of Saudi Arabia, and his brother, Emir Mohammed, are going to Jeddah. Ibn Saud contended that Palestine was Arab and must remain so. ‘ “The Arabs always treat the Jews well,” he declared.
