RIVERTON Mi’s W. Fraser, who has been visiting friends at Riverton, has returned to Christchurch. Mrs R. Robertson and her small son have returned to Ohai after spending a short holiday at Riverton. Mrs M. Rose, Palmerston street, was hostess at an afternoon recently in honour of her guest, Mrs W. Fraser, of Christchurch. Competitions were won by Mesdames R. Robertson and A. F. Webb. Those present were Mesdames F. Trail, W. Fraser, D. F. MacDougall, C. W. Carmody, A. F. Webb, R. Robertson (Ohai), D. Alexander, K. McNeil, I. Gilchrist and J. Griffiths. Mr and Mrs J. P. Graham, Waipango, have arrived to live in Riverton. Mr and Mrs F. Conn, Havelock street, have left for Dunedin. Mr and Mrs A. S. Peek, Wrey’s Bush, have left to live at Waipango. Miss Margaret Hogg, Dunedin, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr and Mrs Thomas Hogg, South Riverton. Miss M. Galloway, Havelock street, has returned after spending a holiday i" Auckland. Miss Connie Borland, Dunedin, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs T. Borland, Havelock street. Miss Helen Johnstone, of the Riverton Hospital, has returned from a holiday in Christchurch. Miss H. Latta, Riverton, is spending a holiday at Owaka. On a recent afternoon, the members of the Riverton Croquet Club, met at the home of Miss A. McNaughton, Havelock street, to bid farewell to one of their oldest members, Mrs J. Green, who has left to live in Invercargill. In the absence of the president, Mrs H E. Philp, Miss McNaughton presented the guest of honour with a bedroom clock. Mrs Green replied.
