GOLF CLUB GIVES BALL

Bright Function In Country Club ANNUAL EVENT Looked forward to as one of the most successful functions of the year the annual ball of the Invercargill Golt Club last evening was no exception although the attendance was smaller than usual. It was held in the Country Club where bowls of flowers and bright fires gave a pleasant atmosphere. The president of the club, Mr B. W. Hewat, and Mrs Hewat received the guests. Mrs Hewat’s mooijlight blue lame frock had a long tram and . a swathed bodice. She wore an ennine cape and a shoulder spray of hyacinths. Among the others present were Mr and Mrs R. R.
