DANCING SOCIETY MEETS
NOVICE COMPETITION TO BE HELD ON JULY 23 The monthly meeting of the Highland and National Dancing Society was held last evening, Mr C. Wilson presiding. It was decided to hold novice competitions on July 23 in Victoria Hall. The events arranged for were sword dance for children under 8 years of age, sword dance for children under 10 and Highland fling for children under 12. Mrs John Fraser, Miss Isobel Macdonald and Mr Neil Macdonald were appointed judges for the competitions. Following the competition a lecture on the main features of national dancing will be given by Mr Alex Sutherland. It was resolved that a cordial invitation be given to all dancing schools io attend.
