MISS BATTEN POSTPONES FLIGHT TO BERLIN LONDON, June 23. Miss Jean Batten, the New Zealand airwoman, has postponed her flight to Berlin because of the sudden illness of her mother. Piloting the aeroplane in which she flew from Australia, Miss Batten was to have flown to Berlin to attend a conference of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale at which she was to have received a gold medal in recognition of her achievements.
