SPECIAL PRIZES WON AT ANNUAL FIXTURE
The special prizes and competitions won at the Kauana Collie Dog Trials Club’s recent annual fixture have now been allocated. , , Mr J. Swale’s donation or il tor tne unplaced competitor gaining most points in class 2 and 3 was won by Mr E. Healey. . x Mr T, Cowie’s donation of 10/- tor the competitor with the most entries was won by Mr J. B. Queale. Mr R. Anderson’s donation of £1 tor first in the Maiden Huntaway was won by Mr N. Overton. Mr F. Golightly’s donation of 10/for second in the Maiden Huntaway was won by Mr T. R. McKenzie. Mr W. J. Cowie’s donation of £1 for the unplaced competitor gaining most points at the trials was won by Mr R. H. Bissett. -r., x Mr J. Anderson’s donation of £1 tor maiden competitors gaining most pointe in the Local Event was won by Mr S. Mathews. . . , A , Mr T. A. Hazlett’s donation of 10/for a dog not gaining a prize but gaining most pointe was won by Mr K. ri. Bissett’s Roy. Blyth’s trophy for " the competitor with dog gaining most points in the Local Event without handicap was won by Mr R. Anderson. Mumford’s trophy for the competitor gaining fourth place in the Local Event was won by Mr R. Anderson. McCurdy and Son’s trophy for the maiden competitor gaining most pointe was won by Mr M. Baird. The Southland Farmers’ Co-operative Association’s trophy for the competitor with the largest family was won by Mr J. Anderson. A miniature cup for the maiden competitor gaining most points in the Local Event was won by Mr M. Baird. COMPETITIONS Grimwood’s trophy for sheep guessing.—Mrs J. R. Anderson. ( Rowan’s trophy for womens stepping.—Mrs W. Gill. Goodall’s trophy for mens sheep guessing.—Mr M. Carson. Hughes’s trophy for men’s stepping. —Mr F. Winter. Tilley’s trophy for women’s stepping. —Mrs J. R. Anderson. The women’s sheep guessing was won by Mrs J. Gill and the mens by Mr R. Anderson. Mr L. Cowie won the men s stepping. In the cake guessing competition Mrs J. Nelson, Messrs J. Inglis, I. Mcllwrick, Ross and W. Nicol were all placed first equal.
