HEDGEHOPE
ANZAC SERVICE Under the auspices of the Hedgehope branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, Anzac Day was fittingly commemorated. The Rev. Mr J. H. Crockett conducted the religious part of the service, and Mr J. Hargest, M.P., gave an interesting address on the significance of Anzac Day. During the service, Mr Keay sang a solo. A collection taken up during the evening amounted to £3 and the sales of poppies brought in £l2.
