TODAY’S RECIPE
NUT BREAD 3 cups (12 ounces) flour. 1J cups (12 ounces) milk. i cup (4 ounces) sugar. 1 egg. 1 teaspoon salt. 6 teaspoons baking powder. 2 tablespoons melted butter. 1 cup chopped nuts. Sift dry ingredients together, add milk and beaten egg to hole in centre and stir in ever-widening circles. Add nuts and melted butter. Bake at 375 degrees F. for one hour. Either white or brown sugar may be used. Nuts may be walnuts, almonds, peanuts, pecans, etc. Again i cup nuts and i cup dried chopped fruits may be used. SARAH.
