FRENCH PARTIES ASKED FOR SUPPORT
MOVE TO STRENGTHEN HANDS OF GOVERNMENT LONDON, February 24. The Paris correspondent of The Times says that addressing the InterParty Committee of the Popular Front, the Prime Minister (M. Camille Chautemps) reviewed international events and appealed to the parties to reinforce the Government’s authority and so strengthen its hands in the coming negotiations. He added that the Government would withdraw as soon as it became possible to form another on a broader basis.
