CASH DOCKET RECEIPT CASES

MAGISTRATE DISMISSES INFORMATIONS (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 25. Mr Luxford, S.M., in his reserved judgment in the cash docket receipt cases, as to whether they are liable for duty, said thrf words “executed in New Zealand” might have far-reaching consequences and would no doubt be considered in the appeal proceedings. Should that be so, further questions could be dealt with by the Supreme Court. He therefore dismissed all the informations on the ground that the documents in question if they were receipts were unsigned and so were not liable to duty.
