NEW CONSTITUTION OF INDIA REJECTED
NATIONALIST MOTION AGAINST FOREIGN AUTHORITY (Received February 18, 6.30 p.m.) BOMBAY, February 17. The workjng committee of the Nationalist Congress at Haripura passed a resolution rejecting the new Constitution. It declared that a Constitution acceptable to the Congress must be based on independence and drawn up by the people’s elected representatives without interference' from a foreign authority. The All-India Congress, which begins on Saturday, will discuss the resolution.
