FILM REVEALS ERROR BY JUDGE
440 YARDS FINAL AT EMPIRE GAMES (Received February 17, 6.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 17. A film of the final of the 440 yards at the Empire Games last Saturday reveals that Fritz (Canada) defeated Roberts (England) by inches. The judges placed Roberts first and Fritz second. Mr J. Leslie, of Canada, who judged first place in the event, admitted last night, after he had seen the pictures of the finish, that' he had made a mistake.
